Dolphin Soars Above Ocean in Viral Photo
A dolphin captured soaring high above the ocean has earned the nickname “the Michael Jordan of sea mammals” from impressed nature enthusiasts, thanks to its extraordinary leap.
The striking image, shared on the Pacific Whale Foundation’s Instagram page, shows a Pantropical spotted dolphin suspended mid-air in a dramatic arc above the water.
According to KTLA, the photo was taken on March 4 by the foundation’s research team off the west coast of Maui.
