Explosions continue to reverberate across Iran, Israel, and several Middle Eastern states as the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel enters its 33rd day.
The escalation began on February 28 when US and Israeli forces launched coordinated strikes on Iranian nuclear, military, and civilian sites. Since then, hostilities have expanded across multiple countries in the region, triggering missile exchanges, drone attacks, and significant casualties.
Energy markets have also been impacted. Following Israeli strikes on Iran’s South Pars gasfield, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates reported Iranian attacks on energy facilities, contributing to a surge in global oil and gas prices.
Tehran has responded to US and Israeli attacks by launching waves of missiles and drones targeting Israeli military installations and US bases across the Middle East. Iranian officials had previously warned that any attack on its territory would prompt retaliation against US military facilities in the region, which it considers legitimate targets.
On March 28, Yemen’s Houthi rebels launched ballistic missiles at Israel, marking their first direct involvement since the outbreak of hostilities.
Most incoming missiles and drones have reportedly been intercepted, though several have caused casualties and infrastructure damage.
According to official reports, Iranian strikes have affected nine countries: Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Israel. An Iranian drone also reportedly struck a runway at a United Kingdom military base in Cyprus.
